Ross Ashcroft, host of the London-based television show Renegade, Inc., recently sat down for an extensive conversation with Scott Spencer, Chief Project Advisor of the InterContinental Railway, and Rick Minnich, director of the film The Strait Guys to discuss how the InterContinental Railway could resolve the ongoing super feud between the United States and Russia and become the Panama Canal of the 21st century.
During the half-hour show, Spencer and Minnich outline the economic and geo-political dimensions of the InterContinental Railway, and how it would be the logical link between the two great railway systems which drove economic expansion in the United States and Russia: the Transcontinental Railway and the Trans-Siberian Railway.
Scott Spencer also explains why the InterContinental Railway could be the path forward toward peaceful, mutually beneficial international collaboration when the war ends in Ukraine: ”This military conflict in Ukraine is going to take a great deal of healing, recovery and rebuilding. And I can think of no project that can bring such greatness and such results for all the nations involved, then the Inter-Continental Railway.”

Victor Razbegin speaks at the Northern Forum in Moscow and Yakutsk, Sept. 28-29, 2020
Intercontinental Railway co-founder Victor Razbegin presented the ICR during the plenary session “Transport Infrastructure in the North and the Arctic” on September 28th and the Round Table on Railroad Transportation in the Arctic Regions on September 29th. ICR team meet with the Bering Straits Native Corporation
31 August 2018: InterContinental Railway founders George Koumal and chief project advisor Scott Spencer met with Vice-President of Corporate Development Z. Daniel Graham and Vice-President Media and External Affairs Matt Ganley of the Bering Straits Native Corporation today. Mr. Graham and Mr. Ganley were interested to hear about Mr. Koumal and Mr. Spencer's recent trip to Nome, Wales, and Diomede, all of which lie within the jurisdiction of the Bering Straits Native Corporation. The four discussed at length the developmental challenges of the Bering Strait region and how the InterContinental Railway could play a key role in providing much-needed transportation and infrastructure to the area. Mr. Graham and Mr. Ganley were very supportive of the ICR, and discussed introducing the project to their board in the near future.
ICR team meet with Doyon Limited
30 August 2018: InterContinental Railway co-founders George Koumal and Joseph Henri and chief project advisor Scott Spencer met with the President and CEO of Doyon Limited Aaron Schutt today. Doyon Limited is the largest native corporation in Alaska and controls an area the size of France. The largest stretch of the InterContinental Railway in Alaska will pass through Doyon property so today's courtesy call to Mr. Schutt was particularly important. For over an hour, the ICR team gave Mr. Schutt an overview of the project and discussed means of collaboration. Mr. Schutt was quick to realise the potentially massive benefits the ICR offers to Doyon shareholders, and had concrete suggestions for potential investment opportunities in the future.
ICR team speak at World Trade Center luncheon in Anchorage
29 August 2018: InterContinental Railway founders George Koumal and Joseph Henri and chief project advisor Scott Spencer were the guest speakers at today's World Trade Center luncheon in Anchorage, Alaska. It was an excellent opportunity to discuss the project with key members of the Anchorage business community, who were quick to realise the many economic benefits the ICR would bring to Anchorage and the state of Alaska.
ICR team speaks before the Nome City Council
27 August 2018: The InterContinental Railway team were invited to speak before the Nome City Council this evening. Council members and residents in attendance welcomed the project, and were eager to learn more about how the ICR could solve the town's transportation problems and lower the cost of living.
Second ICR Community Meeting in Wales, Alaska
August 22, 2018: InterContinental Railway founder George Koumal and Chief Project Advisor Scott Spencer participated in their second community meeting in Wales, Alaska. Their presentation was followed by a lively debate about the advantages the project will bring to the community as well as the impact on the environment. The next day they visited one of the picking fields which provide a livelihood for the community near where the tunnel portal could potentially be built. Mr. Koumal and Mr. Spencer also met with Russia adventurers Sergei and Jana, who washed ashore that night on a self-made pontoon boat. They crossed the Bering Strait in fourteen hours. The ride through the train tunnel will take approximately one hour.
First ICR Community Meeting in Diomede, Alaska
August 21, 2018: InterContinental Railway founder George Koumal and Chief Project Advisor Scott Spencer participated in their first community meeting on Little Diomede, Alaska. They received a warm welcome and were treated to an evening of Eskimo dances.
